If you are a law student, you will have already realised how expensive being a law student really is. Core textbooks cost £35 each and you are likely to be studying six units/modules; where they have a recommended textbook for each unit. Already you would have spent over £150 and that is without the other recommended texts that you may need. Welcome to episode three of Legally Brunette; a law series that I unintentionally started prior to making it a series – with the help of the gorgeous Ellie Blakeney. You can check out her blog here – where she shares amazing blog advice and all things lifestyle, fashion and beauty related. Anyway back to the series, I thought what could be more perfect than creating a series tailored to my fellow aspiring lawyers; the journey getting there is tough enough and would be so much easier if we were to share our experiences with each other. Throughout the series, I will be discussing all things law related, from my study routine to my tips and tricks of surviving law school; which leads us back to episode three – Legally Brunette: A Beginners Guide to Starting Law School.

When people ask me “what do you study at University?” without a doubt 99% of the time when I say that I study law, the reply I get is “wow you must be smart” and as much as I wish that was true, it is definitely not the case. For as long as I can remember I have always wanted to become a lawyer *minus the slight detour when I had bright ambitions to become the next big actress or my phase of wanting to become a film editor*. However, if you would have asked me five years ago whether I would be studying it now, I definitely would not have thought it would be possible.
